Codes of Conduct

For the safety and enjoyment of everyone, it is important that all participants adhere to this code of conduct:

 

      • Covid-19 is still within the community. We ask that you do not attend the Nettlebed Stinger 10km if you have been experiencing symptoms
      • We will have a mass start. Please place yourself roughly within the field where you would expect to finish
      • There are bottlenecks on the course, both single track technical sections and kissing gates. Please take your time through these and be courteous to others
      • Always be courteous when over taking other competitors
      • The marshals are there for your safety. Please listen to their instructions.  Marshal do NOT have authority to stop traffic, therefore, they communication with runners is key.
      • On road sections, agree to adhere to the rules of the highway code as the roads are open for the duration of the race
      • Look after your fellow runners and report any incidents to race officials as soon as possible
      • Be respectful of the course and remain on the paths.
      • Dispose of litter appropriately
      • For safeguarding purposes, be mindful of photographs you may take and how/where these are shared. Anyone with a red X on their race bib has specifically asked not to have their photograph shared

We wholeheartedly welcome spectators to our event.  We kindly ask that as a spectator, the following code of conduct is followed:

 

      • Covid-19 is still within the community. We ask that you do not attend the Nettlebed Stinger 10km if you have been experiencing symptoms
      • Agree to keep off the race course, especially in areas around the start/finish
      • Listen to race officials/volunteers as they are communicating for your safety and the safety of those around you
      • Be mindful of language and courteous to all competitors and officials
      • Dispose of litter appropriately
      • For safeguarding purposes, please be mindful of photographs you may take and how/where these are shared. Anyone with a red X on their race bib has specifically asked not to have their photograph shared.
